Winter 2018

After all the excitement and build up to the Bitesize Bootcamp Battlefield Challenge we finally all got to enjoy our fabulous mud run over the first weekend in November.

There were slips! There were slides! There were children scaling our huge climbing wall as if it was just a bootcamp hurdle! A huge well done to all who completed the Battlefield Challenge, it was so lovely to see so many of our regular bootcampers from all the schools we work with show up for the event and even better to see all your smiling faces enjoying yourselves. It just goes to show that all those bootcamp sessions are paying off, with some children completing the course over 6 times in the 50-minute wave!

We’d like to thank the children who made that extra effort to personally fundraise for our amazing charity, The Rainbow Trust. Your efforts are hugely appreciated and we are in awe of you all for showing a passion to help other children who need it the most.

We’d also like to thank every single volunteer who took the time out of their busy schedule to help out with the event. You guys were amazing and we’re sure that all the children who took part would like to thank you for helping and motivating them round the course (even the slime monsters!).

We were so overwhelmed with the amount of children who took part in the event and it reaffirmed that we made the right choice to make the course bigger than last year’s event.

We owe a huge thankyou to Ashton on Mersey Secondary School for letting us use their playing fields for the weekend. Without you we simply wouldn’t have been able to pull off such a successful event.

We are currently still collecting the last few fundraising collections but the overall figure is looking to exceed last years which we are all feeling pretty chuffed about!
